“Heavy rain in Pune has resulted in flooding of some areas including one of our key sites in the city. This has caused partial disruption in services for some customers. Our technical team is working dedicatedly to fully restore services soon. We regret the inconvenience caused to our customers,” said the telco in a statement.
However subscribers from other regions including Mumbai, Nagpur also complained of poor quality and #Vodafonedown #vodafoneindia @vodafoneidea were trending on Twitter on Thursday. Customers had also put up memes to show their angst against the third largest telco.
The telco has been steadily losing subscribers and a recent report by the sector regulator for July shows VI losing 3.72 million subscribers to end July with 301.3 million customers. The telco which ssid it has completed its network integration from the merger of Vodafone India with Idea Cellular, also saw its chief technology officer Vishant Vora, resign this week.
